The Association of Vascular and Interventional Radiographers (AVIR) is made up of interventional technologists, interventional radiology nurses, cardiovascular technologists, radiology physician assistants (RPA), vendor representatives, and other associated professionals. As an AVIR member you can keep current of new licensing requirements. You can also keep up-to-date on procedures, JCAHO requirements, interventional products, and network with other interventional technologists.For more information and a membership application be sure to visit the membership page.
The dues year for the AVIR is changing starting for 2010 memberships. Membership will run from January to December. Current memberships will be extended to the end of 2009 and renewals will be sent out the last quarter of 2009. Beginning this year membership dues can be paid online, faxed, emailed or mailed.
Renew Membership Online
Online membership renewal is now available. Current and past members can renew their membership by logging into the membership section and clicking on renew account located in the member option's menu bar. Online membership for new members will be available soon.
CE Opportunities for Members
There is a CE opportunity available in the Member's section for 5.5 credits, please be sure to check it out.

Annual Meeting Schedule
Due to the cost of credits and low participation of non-RT attendees the AVIR will only be offering RT, A & A+ credits this year. No nursing credits are being offered by the AVIR.
The 2010 Annual meeting is in Tampa Bay. With temperatures in the low 70's there is a variety of activities open for those of us visiting from out of state. Some free activities are taking a visit to many of the parks or beaches in the area or take a walk down Bayshore Boulevard. For those that like nature there is Busch Gardens and Big Cat Rescue. For those that like to live on the wild side there are many nightclubs in the area or you can even take a swim with the sharks. Tampa Bay is an area with a variety of activities for those traveling with families or those traveling alone.
